What we can provide

Tech Access has the resources to train anyone on the spectrum of digital literacy, regardless of their goals or current skill level. And since people learn differently, we can deliver these resources in a variety of formats. Examples include traditional instructor-led classes, one-on-one coaching, project-based learning and weekly peer learning groups.

Our trained resources include expert Tech Coach Volunteers, curriculum from digitallearn.org and Grow With Google, in addition to assessment tools from Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment (and coming soon, eSkill – a pre-employment test used by thousands of employers across the U.S.!) We even have a mobile computer lab, WiFi hot spots, printers and digital projectors to provide Tech Access services anywhere.

What we need from you

Space: You don’t need a fancy computer lab or conference room. Tech Access has facilitated trainings in lobby spaces, offices and even a basement! We just need room to comfortably accommodate learners with tables and chairs.

Learners: Connecting with people who want to learn how to use technology is our biggest priority. As our partner agency, we look to you for these connections. You know your clients, what they need, and hopefully, how to communicate with them and get them to our training sessions! We do NOT have a minimum participant requirement.

What to expect

A site visit. A Tech Access team member will visit to your site to learn about the needs of your clients, assess the training space at your facility, and discuss logistics for moving forward.

Follow up. We follow up our visit with a proposed course of action and scheduling options.

We show up. We send a library staff person and volunteer to facilitate the first training session. We will bring equipment as needed and be prepared to provide a fun and engaging digital learning session for your clients.
